The Government of New Brunswick has issued 622 invitations to immigration candidates through multiple provincial and regional immigration programs during a series of draws held between March 3 and March 6, 2026. These invitations were issued through the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP), targeting candidates in key labour sectors.
The draws focused on skilled workers with experience in sectors such as healthcare, construction, education, and manufacturing—areas where New Brunswick continues to face labour shortages.

Candidates were invited under two pathways:
- New Brunswick Experience pathway
- New Brunswick Graduates pathway
Priority sectors included:

To qualify for this stream, applicants generally must:

🌍 New Brunswick Strategic Initiative Stream
The Strategic Initiative Stream targets French-speaking candidates who have a connection to New Brunswick and wish to settle in the province.
In this draw, 189 invitations were issued through two pathways:
- Francophone Workers in New Brunswick
- New Brunswick Francophone Priorities
Unlike other streams in the selection round, candidates from all occupational sectors were eligible under this category.
This stream plays an important role in strengthening Francophone communities across the province.
💻 New Brunswick Express Entry Stream
A smaller portion of invitations — 29 in total — were issued through the Express Entry-aligned stream.
To qualify under the Employment in New Brunswick pathway, candidates generally must:
- Have lived in New Brunswick for at least 12 months
- Be working full-time in a skilled position for a New Brunswick employer
- Have at least one year of eligible work experience in the province
Successful candidates nominated under this stream receive 600 additional CRS points, significantly improving their chances of receiving a permanent residence invitation through Express Entry.

In addition to the provincial nominee streams, 125 candidates were invited through the Atlantic Immigration Program.
Priority occupations included:
- Healthcare
- Education and social services
- Construction trades
- Professional occupations
- Transportation
- Manufacturing
The AIP is an employer-driven immigration program that allows designated employers in Atlantic Canada to hire international workers and international graduates.
The program operates across four Atlantic provinces:
- New Brunswick
- Nova Scotia
- Prince Edward Island
- Newfoundland and Labrador
To qualify, applicants must receive a job offer from a designated employer and obtain a provincial endorsement before applying for permanent residence.
📌 Why These Draws Matter
New Brunswick’s latest immigration draws highlight the province’s continued effort to address labour shortages and attract skilled workers who can support regional economic growth.
By issuing invitations through both PNP streams and the Atlantic Immigration Program, the province is expanding opportunities for international talent to settle permanently in the region.
For candidates with relevant work experience and job offers in priority sectors, these programs remain a strong pathway toward Canadian permanent residence.
